Almighty God, I praise You for this new day in which I can glorify You in the crucial work You have called me to do. Through Your goodness, I can say with enthusiasm, “Good morning, Lord!” rather than with exasperation, “Good Lord, what a morning!” Thank You for giving me expectation and excitement for what You have planned for me today. Help me to sense Your presence in the magnificent as well as the mundane. Give me a deep sense of self-esteem rooted in Your love so that I may exude confidence and courage as I grasp the opportunities and grapple with the problems I will confront. Make me sensitive, Lord, to the needs of the people whom I meet today. May they feel Your love and acceptance flowing through me to them. Guide my thinking so that I may be creative in my expressions of encouragement and enthusiasm. I humbly acknowledge that all that I have and am is a gift of Your grace. I now commit myself to service that reflects my gratitude for Your lovingkindness in Jesus Name I pray with thanksgiving Amen. Shalom.
