Those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength, they shall mount up with wings like eagle, they shall run and not be weary they shall walk and not faint. Isaiah 40:31.
Heavenly Father, You created me to soar, to mount up with wings like eagles. I realize that it’s not just my aptitude, but my attitudes that determine my aptitude. My attitudes are the outward expression of the convictions congealed in my character.
Help me to express a positive attitude based on a conviction that You are in control and are working out Your purposes. I want to experience Your love so profoundly that my attitude will exude vibrant joy. May Your peace invade my heart so my attitude will reflect an inner serenity and calm confidence. I long to have the servant attitude of affirmation of others, of a willingness to listen to their needs and of a desire to put my caring into practical acts of kindness.
Lord, if there is any false pride that makes me arrogant, any selfishness that makes me insensitive, any fear that makes me unnecessarily cautious, any insecurity that makes me cowardly, forgive me and give me the courage to receive Your transforming power in my heart. I ask this so that my attitude to others may exemplify Your attitude of grace towards me. Thank you Most High God in Jesus Name. Amen.
