You are my God

You are my God and I will praise You, You are my God, I will exalt You, oh, give thanks to the Lord for He is good! For His mercy endures forever. Psalm 118:28-29. Gracious God, I want to be so committed to you, so filled with Your Spirit, so open and expectant of Your blessings, and so willing to be surprised by Your intervention, that I will be a positive person today. Keep me from being navigated by negativism into the whirlpool of judgementalism. Instead, I want to step into the fast-moving currents of the river of Your Spirit and be carried along by Your supernatural power. You will guide my thinking, unravel my difficulties, and empower my decisions. Today, my desire is not just to do different things, but to do the same old things differently: with freedom, joy, and excellence. Give me new delight for matters of drudgery, new patience for people’s problems, new zest for unfinished details. Be my lifeline in the pressures of deadlines, my rejuvenation in routines, and my endurance whenever I feel elevated. May my communication with You throughout the day give me deep conviction and high courage to defend them. Give me a special measure of wisdom, insight, and discernment as I tackle the challenges of this day.
